Ask What They Can Build, Not Which Platform They Use

Instead of asking whether someone knows a certain platform, ask whether they can build the kind of website you need.

Can they build a wedding website that makes the important details easy to find? Can they build an online shop that helps people browse, buy, and receive order information? Can they build a school website that works for families, students, staff, and the community?

Knowing the industry makes a difference. It helps the designer understand what information matters, what visitors are looking for, and which features the website needs.

Anyone can place text and images on a page. The real question is whether the finished website meets your needs and works for the people you serve.

The platform is only part of the project. Understanding the purpose, the audience, and the client’s workflow is what turns a website into a useful tool.
